Funeral services for Alice Hill Bradshaw, 106, of Tyler are scheduled for Saturday, April 20, 2019 2:00 PM at Mt. Zion CME Church Redland Community. Elder Darryl Madlock will officiate and Rev. William Spearman will serve as eulogist. Interment will be held in the Hill-Kennedy Cemetery under the direction of Brooks Sterling & Garrett Funeral Directors.Mrs. Alice Hill Bradshaw was born December, 19, 1912 to the parentage of Preston and Judy Rebecca Hill in Ben Wheeler, Texas. She was a lifelong member of Mt. Zion C.M.E. Church where she served as a missionary, stewardess, usher, and church secretary. She also was a member of Tyler Rose City Civitan Club, and the Eastern Star, the Willings Workers Charity Club, and several other organizations. She was united in marriage to Jim Smith and to this union, one son was born, Willie Smith, both preceded her in death. She later united in holy matrimony to Mr. E.R. Bradshaw, who preceded her in death. Alice graduated from Redland High School and attended Texas College. She worked as a beautician and an excellent seamstress. She later retired from the Public Library after many years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Preston and Judy Hill, husband; E.R. Bradshaw, son; Willie Smith. Four sisters and four brothers. To forever cherish her memories, one daughter-in-law, Essie Lee Smith, many devoted nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, special friend Rev. Merlene Williams and a host of other relatives and friends.
