Arnita Faye Horne was born March 6, 1951 to Louis and Juanita Jefferson in Monroe, LA.

Arnita joined church at an early age, uniting with Little Flower Catholic Church of Monroe, LA.

Arnita graduated from Richwood High School in 1969. She went on to further her education by receiving several certifications, LPC, BSW, & MSW of Social Work from Wiley University in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Arnita's passion was to enhance human well-being and help meet the basic and complex need of others, with a particular focus on those who were vulnerable and elderly. That same passion encouraged her to open up Gentle Touch Service of Counseling in Monroe, LA.

She partnered with government entities implementing programs and counseling services to help those with health, psychological, social and financial issues.

Arnita was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Denis Horne and sister; Charlene Smith.

Those left to cherish her memories are, daughter; Jameskia Lee of Little Elm, TX, 2 sisters; Marci Sherrod (Billy) of Las Vegas, Nevada, Barbara Glover of Monroe, LA., 4 grandchildren; London Lee, Landon Lee, Roman Lee, and Khelsi Lee, and a host of other relatives and friends.
