Mrs. Brenda Joyce Williams Franklin was born to Mr. George W. Williams and Mrs. Cynthia Mae Ewins Williams October 13, 1950 in Smith County, Troup, Texas. Brenda departed this life on December 12, 2024.
She attended Troup schools and was a graduate of Troup High School Class of 1970. She also attended Tyler Commercial College. She was employed at Trane Company (now Ingersoll Rand) in Tyler until her health began to fail. Brenda retired after many years of service.
Brenda was a devoted wife and mother. She supported her sons in their school activities. She was a loving sister who loved her brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews and cousins, willing to give advice and encourage them to make the best decision concerning lite and conduct.
Brenda united with Mt. Rose Baptist Church at a young age. She was saved and baptized with the Holy Ghost at Mary Memorial Church of God in Christ.
She was united in marriage to Rufus Leon Franklin, Sr. To their union three sons were born. Two sons, Seymour Franklin and Chauncy Franklin preceded her in death.
Mrs. Franklin leaves to mourn, one son Rufus Leon Franklin, Jr. one grandson, Chauncy Franklin. Three brothers, Clarence Williams, Elder Forse E. Williams, Sr. (Dorothy), Samuel Williams (Anicia). Three sisters Ruby Mingo, Ina Caldwell (Anderson), and Annie Gidding, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
