He leaves behind his beloved children, Curtis Dews and Charles Dews, Jr., both of Tyler. Four step-daughters; Shacola Coleman, Pebble Jones, Mandi Hill, and Candi Jackson. Two brothers; James Dews, Jr. (Larissa), Bonny Dews, both of Tyler, TX. Six sisters; Martha Johnson of Fort Worth, TX., Betty Young and Winnie Young both of Dallas, TX, and Delores Dews of Tyler, TX, Leara Mitchell of Austin, TX, and Linda Mitchell (Ray) of Tyler. 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
