Charles Edward Dews, Jr. was born September 4, 1968, in Tyler, TX to the late Charles E. Dews and the late Bessie L. Guster Dews. He attended Tyler Public Schools, and he worked in the food service industry. Charles joined New Holland Baptist Church at an early age.

He was proceeded in death by his parents and grandparents Jimmie L. and Luvera W, Guster; Med and Lera Dews.

He is survived by two children, Ciara Dews, Tyler and Corderra Dews, Tennessee; brother, Curtis Glenn Dews (Quintaro); sister Cortney Hill-Stewart (Michael), both of Tyler; seven grandchildren; nieces and nephews; several aunts and uncles, along with a host of other family and friends.
