OBITUARY

John 14:4 KJV

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in

me. In my father ‘house are many mansions: if it were not so, I

would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go

and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you

unto myself; that where I am, there ye maybe also.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents Daniel and Ethel

Morgan, Grandparents, Jonas and Dora Ford, Daughter, Valerie

Morgan, Brothers, Richard Morgan, James, Morgan, Ben and

Henry Williams, Sisters, Bertha Jolly and Edna Sanford.

Daniel “DUB” Morgan Jr. was born March 17, 1948, to the Late

Daniel Wilborn Morgan and Ethel Mae Ford- Morgan. Daniel

attended Tyler ISD schools, graduating from Emmett J. Scott

High School Class of 1966. Daniel married his high school

sweetheart Janice and to this union two children was born

Valerie Michelle Morgan and Daniel Wilborn Morgan III. After

working odd jobs, on Oct. 12, 1971, he enlisted in the United

States Army to support his family. After completing his Army

training program at Ft Leonard Wood Mo. as a Personnel

Specialist he was station in Athens Greece. Daniel received an

honorable May 11, 1973. To continue his education, he enrolled

in Prairie View A&M College and earned 60 semester credits.

Returning to the work force he retired from Frito-Lay in Dallas,

Tx. Daniel return to Tyler to help care for his mom and join New

Jerusalem Baptist Church. His legacy will continue with his son

Chillicothe, Ohio, Dallas Morgan, Olivia Morgan, Jersie Morgan

of Dallas Tx. And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and

friends.
