Mr. David Lamar Simpson was born on January 12, 1968 in Tyler, Texas to the parentage of Raphael McGee and Freddie Simpson.

David attended public schools in Dallas, Texas. He accepted Christ at an early age. David worked in the oil field industry.

He went quietly home to the Lord on November 20,2022. David was preceded in death by his mother, Freddie MaeSimpson, father Raphael McGee; sisters Rhonda Simpson and Daphne Mackey.

David leaves to cherish his memories; wife April Cooper- Simpson, daughters Kayla Oliver and Shy'Tavia Mallard. Sisters, Lolita Brandon (Frank), Carlette Yett (Bruce and Seneca Spencer (Ricky). Brothers, Letro Leroy Simpson and Dennis Mackey (Sandra).Niece, Damonica Cuba and nephews Michael and Kyle Simpson. Great nieces and nephews, Brooklyn, Shay, LeLe Karmen, Camarrian, Micah and Christian. And a host of family and lifelong friends
