Demarcus, "Marky" Ross was born in Tyler, Texas to Charles E.Ross, Sr. and Lillie Walton. He attended Tyler ISD school - A.W. Orr Elementary, Boulter Middle School, and graduated from John Tyler High School in 1997.
He loved working with youth. For more than 20 years he worked with young boys and girls from all walks of life at Youth and Family Enrichment Center and Heart's Way in Tyler. He also worked at University of Texas at Tyler Health Center Psychiatric Unit, Oak Street Health and, Cenikor Foundation. Demarcus was employed with the US Postal Service as a mail carrier. Each day he worked until all mail deliveries were made on his route and moved on to help others complete their route.
Family members who preceded Demarcus to heaven are: brother, Reginald Ross; maternal grandparents (L.W. Walker and Charlie V. Walker) and paternal grandparents (Charlie and Mozell Ross); nephew, Shaquille Ross; along with uncles, an aunt, and cousins.
Demarcus was an outstanding and proud father of two daughters, MarKayla Ross and Avery Ross; he was also survived by his mother, Lillie Walton; father, Charles Ross, Sr; two sisters, MarQuita Hackett (Michael) and Latunia Wilson; one brother, Charles Ross, Jr. (Reshunda); three loving nieces;four nephews; four great-nieces, five great-nephews; along with a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins.
