Doris Faye Biggs Dorsey was born on February 12, 1954 to Simmie and Magnolia Biggs. She attended W.A. Peete Elementary, A.T. Stewart Middle School, Emmett J. Scott High School, and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1971.

She met her High School sweetheart Calvin Dorsey and they married in February of 1976.

Doris was a member of Carter Temple C.M.E Church where she sang in the Chancel Choir. She was a member of the Mellie Arps Court where she worked as a secretary. Doris was employed at various nursing homes in Tyler, were she worked as a care provider for over 30 years.

Doris is preceded in death by her father; Simmie Biggs, husband; Calvin Dorsey, one daughter; Gwendolyn Dorsey, one granddaughter; Trinity Jones, and two brothers; Charles Moses & Howard Moses.

Leaving to reflect on her memories are Mother; Magnolia Biggs, four sons; Reginald Biggs, Calvin Dorsey, Cederick Dorsey, and Kenneth Dorsey, two daughters; Deidre Dorsey, and Courtney Dorsey. 1 brother, Ronald Biggs, three sisters; Ruby Richards, Linda Biggs and Marilyn McLendon.16 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.
