Doris Battles Young affectionately known to many as " Baby " was born to Mr. Jack Battles and Ms. Maggie Reese on April 7, 1928 in Tyler, Texas. She departed this life on April 21, 2021.

Doris received her education in the Tyler Independent School District. She worked tirelessly at Woldert Canning Company, Lindale. Texas and Sterling Faucet Company in Tyler, Texas until retirement.

She dedicated her time and attention, investing in her family and dotting on her grandchildren to make sure their needs were met. In her family she leaves behind a legacy for those who passionately serve God and will carry on her faith for generations to come.

She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her husband John L Young in 2011, her son Ray Anthony Williams (Belinda), and her brother Otha Chilton.
