Dorothy Lee Anderson was born May 2, 1942 to Autrey Henry Anderson and Hattie Roberta Adams-Anderson in Troup, Texas. She grew up in Troup and attended Central High School. At an early age she accepted Christ and was baptized at Mt. Rose Baptist Church in Troup.

Soon after, she moved to Tyler, Texas and lived with her siblings and joined Dale Chapel Baptist Church. She loved the Lord, her family and she was always thinking of others. She was such a kind and loving person with a big heart and very generous to anyone she met.

Later in life her health failed and the Lord called her home on March 2, 2025.

Preceding her in death were her parents Autrey and Hattie Roberta Anderson; two sisters Allamae Adams and Rosetta Anderson-Campbell; five brothers Rufus Anderson, Joe Louis Anderson, Sammy Ray Anderson, Elroy Anderson and Willie T. Anderson.

Left to cherish her lovely memories are her two sisters Odell Anderson and Leberta Anderson-Williams (Billy), both of Tyler. A host of many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends
