Mr. Ed Long, Jr. passed away peacefully Saturday, October 5, 2019. He was born, January 13, 1938 in Ashford, Alabama to Ed Long, Sr. and Rosie Lee Long. The family relocated to Apopka, Florida. He served in the USAF. He moved to Tyler, TX. in the early seventies. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, remodeling homes, and doing electrical jobs. He loved to cook, and reminisce of old times. He loved the Lord and going to church. He was a hard worker. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
Those that preceded Ed in death: Both beloved parents; son Terence Stephens; sisters, Katie Long, Kindred, Mandy R. Poole, Alice Darlene Long, Mary Lois Long; brothers, Jacob Tyson Long, and James Edward Long.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted wife June Long of Tyler; daughters, Jacqueline Long of Orange, New Jersey, Beatrice Manley (Ernest), Mamie Humphries; Son, Edwin Long of Chapel Hill; 9 grandkids, 14 great-grandkids, and 3 great-great grandkids. Sisters, Lillie Long Lewis of Apopka, Florida, Ann Long of Irvington, New Jersey, Minnie Scott(James) of Orlando, Florida, Mamie Kelly( Archie) of Kissimmee, Florida, Mary Brown(Melvin) of Kissimmee, Florida. Brothers; Willie Long Sr. of Doral, Florida, David Long, Sr.(Vera) of Hillside, New Jersey. Numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
