Eric Andrea Crawford was born on November 13, 1971, in Tyler, Texas to the parents of Mary Louise Crawford and Johnny Lee Jr. Eric was a 1991 graduate of John Tyler High School. He lettered in basketball. After graduation he went on to further his education at Ranger Junior College where he played basketball.

Eric had many hobbies just to name a few. He enjoyed hunting, fishing playing dominoes and watching his favorite team the Dallas Cowboys. At an early age he joined the Greater Hopewell Baptist Church. Eric was known and loved by many. He was often using the phrases "What the What".

Eric never met a stranger. If you were his friend, then you was friend.

The fondest of memories will be cherished by his mother Mary Gee and his father Johnny Lee Jr; his stepfather Glenn Gee, step grandmother Darlene Gee, son Brannen Crawford (Megan), daughters Erinique Crawford, Eriuna Crawford, Montoya Shead (Traylon), grandkids Graceson Horton, Aniya Shead, Tata Shead, Malakai Jamison, Amiah Crawford and Kalea Frazier. Brothers Dexter Crawford (Marquita), Rev. Tyrone Gee (De'Ana) and Daroyce Gee (Amanda). A host of aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends

Eric was proceeded in death by his maternal grandparents Willie Crawford and Louise Roberts Crawford. Paternal grandparents Johnny Lee Sr and Ida Lee and brother Frederick Crawford.
