IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Gertrude Massenburg
Williams
June 4, 1940 – March 24, 2025
Gertrude Massenburg Williams was born in Winona Texas to the late Archie and Ora Lee Massenburg. She was married in holy matrimony to the late O C Williams at an early age. From this union seven children were born.Randall Williams(wife Monique),Michael Williams(Infant deceased)Tammy Williams,Otis Williams(wife Carmen) , Anthony Williams( wife Menisha) ,Darren Williams(wife Robin) and Terry Williams.
Mrs Williams was a true Christian and dedicated her life to the service of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. She attended St James CME church, Tyler Texas, where she served on the usher board. Mrs Williams was a loving mother and a friend to many and always stressed the importance of education to her children. Mrs Williams loved traveling and was always ready to take a vacation with her kids, no matter the destination.
Mrs Williams transitioned to her heavenly reward surrounded by her sister, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and multiple family members. Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Mr. O C Williams, infant son, Michael Williams. Mother and Father, Ora Lee and Archie Massenburg. Brothers Tony Jones and Larry Jones.
The clock of time is wound but once, and no man has the power to tell just when the hands will stop, a late or early hour. Now is the only time you own; live, love, work and with a will, place no faith in tomorrow for the clock may then be still. Many people look upon death as a sad occasion, but the death of a Christian is a glorious time for our Lord and Savior. For it is said in Psalms 116:15, "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death is his Saints,"
