On October 24,2023 Gwen left us to be with the Lord. She was born on November 16,1957 to the late BC & Louise R. Cobb. She attended Leverett Chapel Schools, then went on to Tyler Junior College before becoming an employee of Tyler ISD. She dedicated 32 years of service at Bonner Elementary School where she touched the lives of many children. Upon retiring, she helped with after school children at Primary Scholars.

Gwen is preceded in death by her parents and a couple of great friends.

Gwen leaves to cherish her memories three children: Tenner Gitchuway (Joseph), Tenya and Trenton Gitchuway; three grandchildren, Tinleigh Gitchuway, Kaison and Kingston Collins all of Tyler, Texas; Her sister Gloria Cobb Williams of Ft. Worth, Texas. She also leaves behind two nieces A'lisha Williams and Ashton Williams, great nieces and nephews and a host of cousins.
