Helen Choice was the 4th child born to the late Robert and Lenora Phillips Choice on November 4, 1930. She attended Waters Bluff Community School and Winona Public School District. She joined Waters Bluff C.M.E. Church at an early age.

She united in matrimony to C.B. Roberts at an early age. Later, she relocated and lived in Dallas, Texas for many years. She was gainfully employed as a housekeeper for the late Vicki Middleton.

Once retired, Helen moved back to Winona and united with and baptized at the New Zion Baptist Church. She served as President of the Pastor Aide and as a church custodian for a number of years. She was a faithful and dedicated member until her health began to fail.

Preceding her in death were her parents, five brothers: R.C, Richard, Lee Ernest, Herbert and James; two sisters: Ruby Arps and Dorothy Washington.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory two sisters: Ruth (Don) Devereaux and Mary Alice Childs, one brother: Curley Choice, one sister in law: Lola Choice and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
