Hoover Edwards was born March 16, 1930 in Tennessee Colony, Texas to the parents of J.B. and Lucy McKenzie Edwards.
Hoover graduated from Massey High School ( class of 1949) . He attended Prairie View and Texas College. He served in the U.S. Army (Korean War) for 2 years. He was employed with Curtis Mathis/Harvey Industries for over 40 years until retirement. He was an active member of Just Us Guys until he became an honorary member in 2018.
Hoover united with Mount Olive Baptist Church in Tennessee Colony, Texas at the age of eight. There he served as a faithful member and deacon until his death.
Hoover is preceded in death by his parents, J.B. and Lucy Edwards, his wife, Juliette Edwards and his seven siblings.
He united in holy matrimony to the late Juliette Blanton Edwards on December 6, 1958. To this union three girls were born, Starla Ingram (DuEarl), Lovell Barker (Keith), and Regina Edwards. Grandchildren: Brooke Chancellor (Nathan), Paige Johnson (Jermain) and Jordan Richardson. Great Grandchildren: Callie, Noah, Makayla, and Lauren.
Hoover also leaves to cherish his memory: beloved son Carl Edwards and daughters Paula Edwards, Carol Ann Edwards, Patricia Edwards Clark and Jessie Edwards from previous unions. He leaves a host of relatives, nieces, nephews, and special friends.
