Mrs. Iva Jean Wall was born February 12, 1938 to the late Artice and Bessie Thompson Starks.
She was the second daughter of twelve siblings.

She united with New Cannan Baptist Church in Whitehouse, Texas during her early childhood. Her
family relocated to this area and she attended Troup High School. Iva Jean also attended Texas
College, Tyler Texas and later El Camino College, Gardena, CA where she received a degree in
Drafting Engineering. She retired from Hughes Aircraft Planning Department in 1992.

Iva Jean united in holy matrimony to the late Earl Robert Wall on July 17, 1966 and to this union
no children were born. They resided in California and attended New Hope Missionary Baptist
Church until they moved back to Troup, Texas in 1992. With Iva Jean's love for fashion and sense
of style, she was garnered the title and known as "The Hat Lady".

Iva Jean departed this life on October, 31, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband,
parents, six brothers and four sisters.
She leaves to mourn her passing a sister Haletha (Allen) Brooks of Fontana, CA, in-laws and a
host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
