Ivey Faye Williams was born July 1, 1942 to the loving parents, Alfred and Milria Johnson of Centerville, Texas. She attended school at Sunrise School and graduated from Paul Lawrence Dunbar High School in 1960. Faye Williams received the Holy Ghost under Elder Carter in Ft. Worth, Texas, and later attended Sunrise Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Elder C.H. Lee, were she played the piano.
She married Clarence B. Williams in Ft. Worth in 1961, and being a mother of creativity. She enjoyed sharing her talents with her children. The house in Ft. Worth aroma was a mixture of homemade cakes in which she made about twenty-five different cakes from scratch. She was always cooking and baking huge meals all year around. Always some cakes or full meals to share, whenever you stop by if she was not sewing, cooking, or baking.
Ivey Faye was a mother of many talents, as a seamstress she enjoyed making scarves, suits, one-of-a-kind hats, drapes, and paper mâché objects. Faye also created the Jail House Ministry Team and went on several Gospel missions to witness to different ladies about Jesus Christ in Tyler, Texas. In the late 1970's, Faye had Prayer Home Ministry on a weekly basis at her house, she also had a group of other prayer saints that would come together to pray.
Faye worked at Texas Instruments in Dallas, Texas as a Computer Chip Technician, she worked there for 15 years and then took and early retirement. She then began a second career as a CNA at Chandler Nursing Home, and then she retired.
Faye was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Williams, grandson; Greg J. Stear, and parents; Alfred and Milria Johnson, and grandmother; Susan Smith.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her son's; Paul Martin of Las Vegas, NV, Carl E. Williams of Houston, TX., Kenneth J. Williams of Dallas, Tx., daughter's; Karen Y. Richardson (Darrell) of Arlington, Tx, Cheryl S. Williams of Chandler, Tx., sisters; Doris Phillips, Patricia Johnson, Annie Polk, Sandra Watkins, Sharon Washington, brothers; Christopher Johnson, Bernard Johnson, grandchildren; Courtney Stear, Danielle Richardson, Xavier Richardson, Bethany Richardson, Dayton Williams, and a host of other great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
