James Earl Warren was born to Fado and Lessie B. Warren on June 22, 1947 in Tyler, Texas.
James was a dedicated patriot who served his country with unwavering commitment. He leaves behind a legacy of honor, service, and love that will be cherished by all who knew him.
James embarked on a remarkable journey of service to his nation. After high school, he first enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he demonstrated his dedication and courage as an Airman. After his honorable service in the Air Force, he continued to serve his country by joining the United States Army, where he exhibited exceptional leadership and dedication to duty. His years in both branches of the military were marked by bravery, discipline, and a profound sense of duty.
During his dedicated service, James accomplished the impressive feat of earning multiple college degrees, including an Associate in Science from The University of the State of New York, an Associate in Arts from Columbia College, and a Bachelor of Arts from Western Illinois University.
Aside from his accolades and accomplishments, James was a loving husband, brother, and friend, known for his kindness, resilience, and sense of humor. He touched the lives of many with his warm heart and unwavering support.
James was preceded in death by his loving wife, Chong Yol Kim Warren, parents, Fado and Lessie B. Warren, and his dear sister, Shelia Tidwell (Roy – living). He is survived by his sister, Faye Hawkins, brothers, Anthony Warren (Maudie) and David Warren (Myra), various family members, nieces, nephews, and a host of special and dear friends.
James was a lifelong member of the Tyler Korean Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He was a faithful member and a friend to the entire congregation.
May he rest in eternal peace.
