Jeanell, known by her family and loved ones as "Jean", was born July 7, 1942, in Tyler, Texas to late Will Square and Lucille Spencer Square. She departed this earthly life on May 8, 2024. Jeanell attended Douglas Elementary School, Jackson High School, and Arp High School,graduating in 1960. She continued her education at Texas College.

Jeanell professed her faith in Christ at an early age at the El Bethel Missionary Baptist Church where she served faithfully as member of the Usher Board and served as Church Clerk for many years.

She united in holy matrimony to Albert Rider, October 7, 1974, and three children were born to this union.

Jeanell loved being with her family and friends; she was passionate about her community especially Douglas Park. She worked tirelessly to ensure that its legacy continues.

She was preceded in death by parents, husband, sons,Cepedeaous Square, Joffure' Rider, Jarrett Rider; brother, Willie Square, sisters, Lois Warren, Emma Mauldin, and grandson, Licori Shackelford.

She leaves to cherish her memories daughters, Karla L. Square, ShiKonda Rider-Wilcott (LaCedric), brother, Alvin Square, daughter-in-law, Debbie Square, grandchildren, Monique, Kandace, Nikeyia, Kristen, Taliyah, Kenya, great-grandchildren, Ja'Kaivian, Zayla, Ja'Corian, Amir, Adonis, Avery, Ava, sisters-in-law, Jessie Rider Myers, Margie Square, and special cousins/friends, Beverly Cobb, Sclestine Foster, Willie Pinke, Jr., Willie Faye Scott, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. She also leaves bonus children William, Sharon, Auerecia, Beverly, Robbie, Artelia, and Albert, Jr.
