Jessie Marie Davis was born April 6, 1936, in Tralake, MS to the late Robert June Davis & Mattie Peterson.  She was the second oldest of seven siblings. She attended grade school in Tralake, MS later going on to complete Cosmetology College. Ms. Jessie united with the church at an early age.

After moving to Detroit, Michigan she met the love of her life Reverend Matthew N. Madlock beginning a union that lasted 55 years.Together they traveled throughout the United States and most of Europe while they served in the United States Air Force. In 1988 they retired. In 2001 the family returned to Tyler, built a home and united with Chapel Hill CME church and shortly thereafter began fulltime ministry.

Mrs.Madlock leaves to cherish her memory her loving and committed husband of 55 years Reverend Matthew N Madlock, her daughters Pastor Denise Walker & Min. Kimberly Friend (Keith), and her son Derek Madlock (Malanie), 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. She is proceeded in death by her son David Humphrey, her sisters Jewel Price & Marylee Davis and her brothers Jessielee Davis and Sonny Wilson.
