Mr . Johnnie Carnelius Caldwell , son of the late Wilbert and Classie Caldwell, was born January 18, 1941, in Smith County . He joined church at an early age, graduated from Stanton High School and Prairi e View A&M University. Johnnie served in the United States Airforce for 4 years and fought in the Vietnam wa r . He also worked for E-Systems/R aytheon for 23 years before retiring.
Johnnie is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and three sisters.
Those left to cherish his mem orie s are his three sons, Johnnie Jr. Caldwell & Reggie Caldwell both of Richmond, CA , Marquis ( Genny) Shim er of Sachse , TX ; nine brothers , Ro ss (Grace) Caldwell , Wilbert Jr (Je welene) Caldwell, Kenneth (Elena) Caldwell, Jeffrey Caldwell, C arl (Beverly) C aldw ell all of Tyler, TX, Timothy S r . (Diane) Caldwell of Red Springs, TX, Larry Caldwell of Lewisville, TX, William (Sabrina) Caldwell of Pearland, TX , Derek Caldwell of Natchitoches , LA; two sisters, Dorothy (Lee) Montgomery of Garland, TX, Debra Caldwel l of Richardson, TX ; five grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives , and friends.
