Josephine Mae Jones was born in Mansura, Louisiana on November 19, 1932 to the late John Francisco, Sr. and Celestine McGlory Francisco.
Josephine accepted Christ at an early age where she attended the "Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Mansura, Louisiana. She was married to Edward Jones who preceded her in death. She later joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint 1 st Ward in Lake Charles, Louisiana. She transferred her membership to Tyler, Texas 2 nd Ward in 2013.
She had one daughter, Rosemary Simmons.
Josephine is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. John Francisco, Sr.,three sisters; Stella Young, Cecile Labalais, and Elizabeth Johnson , one brother; John Francisco, Jr., and one grandson; Shannon Tompkins.
She leaves to mourn and cherish her memories, her daughter; Rosemary Simmons (Anthony), two brothers; Raymond Francisco, and Peter Francisco both of Houston, Texas. Three sisters; Geneva Steele, Gloria Greenhouse, and Rosemary Hill all of Tyler, Texas. Two grandsons; Anthony Tompkins (Jackie), Eric Tompkins (Tamara), and one granddaughter; Rochelle Mayfield (Walter) all of Beaumont, Texas. 14 great-grandchildren, and3 great great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
