Kimberly LaKay Ned was born May 31,1971 in Athens,Tx to Henry and Mae Carol Bowman Ned. Kimberly was the youngest of three children and also had a adopted brother named Derrick.

Kimberly attended Athens Public School where at age 4, she met her lifelong friend/sister Mary Ann McCuin. In school Kimberly was a part of the school band which she played the trumpet and baraton, she also was a part of the softball team.

She was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church where she sang in the choir.

In college she met another lifelong friend/sister, Pamela Prosper.

On May 16,1992 she gave birth to her only child Laterrius Ned.

After a year on dialysis in 2013 she received a kidney transplant via organ donor, which helped her to be able to go back to school. After finishing school, Kimberly became a licensed CAN,Medical Assistant and phlebotomist.

She is preceeded in death by her parents, older sister Tracie Ned and adopted brother Derrick Ned.

She leaves to cherish her memories daughter, Laterrius Ned and brother Howard Ned. She is also survived by a host of spoiled nieces and nephews as well as many close friends and family who loved and will miss her dearly.
