IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Linda K
Jackson
October 3, 1959 – January 28, 2025
Linda Kay Jackson, 65, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2025, in Tyler, Texas. Born on October 3, 1959, to David Jackson and Chinia Jackson Boyd (Foley) in Tyler, Linda lived a life marked by dedication to her family, faith, and community.
A proud graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in 1978 and Tyler Junior College in 1980 with an associate's degree, Linda pursued a diverse career path that reflected her many talents and passions. Although she worked several jobs such as a P.E. teacher and a beautician before finding her calling at Goodwill Industries. There, she served as the assistant supervisor in the mailroom and earned one of the organization's highest honors, the Robert Neil Achiever of the Year award—a testament to her hard work and commitment.
Linda was an athlete at heart. During high school, she excelled in sports and carried that passion into adulthood by joining a traveling tennis club. Her love for athletics brought her joy and camaraderie throughout her life.
Faith played a central role in Linda's journey. She began her Christian walk at New Hope Bullard Baptist Church and later became a devoted member of New Generations Church. Her unwavering faith sustained her through life's challenges and inspired those around her.
Linda cherished her family deeply. She is survived by her brother Mr. Jackson of Phoenix, AZ; nephews Jonathan Jackson (Jennifer) of Glendale, Arizona, and Jason Jackson (Berniece) of Atlanta, Georgia; sister-in-law Jacqueline Jackson of Las Vegas; one great-niece Jada Jackson; two great-nephews Jamison Jackson and Julian Jackson; and a host of other relatives who will remember her with love. She was predeceased by both parents; brother Alexander Jackson; niece Jennifer Jackson; and both maternal and paternal grandparents.
May Linda Kay Jackson's memory bring comfort to all who knew her.
