Loyce Burnette Fullylove was born October 8, 1940 on FM 838, Smith County to the late Dowilder Porter and Booker T Fullylove. Burnette was the second child born. During his formative years he was reared by Mrs. Lela and Oscar Winkfield. They instructed him in the ways of a Christian, and he joined Spring Chapel CME Church at an early age under the tutelage of Rev. David Williams. He was an original member of the Fragment Club and Sunday School.
He attended Arp Industrial School and was among the class of 1960. He was a man of many talents working as an hourly employee in the Tyler and Smith County area. He thoroughly enjoyed working for Reddic Upholstery.
Many knew of Burnette's artistic achievements. He was a self-taught pencil caricaturist. His works included drawings of animals, pastures, and people. Some of his caricatures and art could be quit comical and provocative. He also did wood carvings.
Burnette leaves many to mourn his death: Alice Cary Fullylove, wife; Loyce Fullylove, Jr., son; Shannon Fullylove, son; Sheena Nickerson ( ), daughter; Ruth Porter (Author), Adah Young, JoAnn (Melvin) Chester, Korean Young, and Bessie (Oliver) Davis, sisters; and Gary Young, brother. In-Laws are Helen Brown, Willie Lee Cary, Linda Cary, and Lucille Cary. Along with the immediate family are a host grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Those preceding him in death are Dowilder and Booker T. Fullylove, parents; Lou Travis Fullylove, Nathan Fullylove, Elliott Young, Quenton Young, brothers, and Therma Jean Simmons, sister.
