IN LOVING MEMORY OF

Born and raised in Gilmer, Texas to a Christian household lead by parents,Elberta King and John Noble King, Mable accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at her earliest opportunity, and she stayed faithful all the days of her life. Her church home for many years was Gee's Memorial Church COGIC and she later joined Zion Temple Tyler.
Mable received her education at public schools in Upshur County, Texas and later at Jackson High School, in Smith County. She was a sharp student with lots of analytical skills that served her well as she traveled through life. She loved Christian hymns and gospel music, often singing along as she kept house, baked wonderful meals and played with her many grandchildren. She also loved to shop for others and always found the perfect gift because of her keen insight and great generosity.
During the Great Depression, when s h e was a young girl, Mable learned how to manage a successful household with few resources yet plenty of love. Her favorite past times included sewing clothes for her children, embroidery and gardening. She was an awesome cook who always added zest and love to every dish.During her retirement, she would prepare meals for individuals in the community with limited mobility, just to bring a smile to their faces!
