Marcus Dewayne Moss was born April 29, 1972, in Tyler, Texas to Ruso and Ann Moss. Marcus attended Macedonia COGIC where he sang in the youth choir. He later moved to Los Angeles where he would visit West Angeles COGIC under Bishop Charles E. Blake. Marcus was not married and did not have children.

Marcus graduated from John Tyler High School in Tyler, Texas. He attended Tyler Junior College in Tyler, Texas and Richland College in Dallas, Texas, where he studied Radio Broadcasting and Music. While at John Tyler High School, Marcus participated in the band, choir, drama club and served on the Student Council. Later, Marcus moved to Hollywood, California where he attended acting school which gave him the opportunity to appear in television and films. Also, while in California, he worked at Amazon. He was blessed with many talents. He loved to sing, write music and act. Marcus last visited his family on Mother's Day 2022 and saw most of his friends and more family.

On August 21, 2022, an Angel from God was disbursed to his bedside to lead him to his new home.

Marcus leaves to cherish his father and mother, Ruso and Ann Moss, his brother Derrick Moss, his aunts Evelyn Williams, Gloria Durham (Clint), Rose Murphy (all of Tyler, TX) Opal Andry (Jimmy) of Detroit, Michigan, Vernell Stribling of Dallas, Texas and Odessa Walker of Crockett, Texas. His uncles Billy Mass of Santa Barbara, CA, Leon Mass, and Jimmy Mass (Jannice) of Tyler, TX; Glendale Hall, and Tommy Hall (Michelle) of Houston, Texas.

Nieces: SanDerriqua Moss Knox (Johnny) Kaiserslautern, Germany, Briana and Danielle Moss of Tyler, TX. Moss cousins: Sonja Moss Beal of Dallas, TX, Shannon Moss Jackson of Dallas, TX. Rodney Broughton Moss (Demetria) of Houston, TX

Marcus was preceded in death by his grandparents Evelyn Roy, Robert and Eddie Lee Mass, R.J. and Gwendolyn Moss and Lola Hall. Uncle Robert Lewis Mass, cousins Eunice Mass, Chris Mass, and Lonnie Simmons.
