Ms. Marilynn Mayfield Jones was born December 26, 1953, in Tyler, Texas to Willie E. Mayfield and Helen Warren Mayfield who proceeded her in death.

She accepted Christ at an early age at St. Violet Baptist Church where she served in her youth.  She later moved to Kansas where she joined in membership with Lenexa Christian Center. Marilynn spent many years in Kuwait as a contractor for the military. While overseas she remained diligent in serving God, she worshiped at the base she was stationed at: Camp Arifjon. Upon her retirement she returned to Kansas where she reunited with Lenexa Christian Center.

Marilynn's education includes other than graduating from Chapel Hill High School in Tyler, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts and Master's in Business Administration from MidAmerica Nazarene University.

Marilynn was united in marriage to Tommy L. Jones who preceded her in death. Under this union two children were born; Adrian Jones and Jeremy Jones.

Left to cherish her in memory and eternal love and admiration she leaves:  two sons, Adrian Jones of Lenexa Kansas, and Jeremy Jones of Las Vegas Nevada, grandson  Riyhad Jones, daughter-in law Hanan Jones. Five brothers Ederson (Vickey), Rickie (Shirley), Tony (Rotha), Kenneth (Kimberly), and William all of Tyler. One sister Edith (Carl) Wilson of Tyler. And a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
