Mary Lou Burton, 77, was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.  She was born on October 17, 1946 in Rusk County to Mary Ann and Clarence Blanton. She grew up in Laneville, Texas and attended Allen High School.  She then attended Prairie A&M University and received her Associates Degree.  She worked for UT Health in the Outpatient Clinic for 36 years.

Mary was preceded in death by her mother and father Clarence and Mary Ann Blanton; three sisters Lola Johnson, Shirley Ford and Linda Caldwell; two brothers Clarence Blanton and Johnnie Blanton.

She is deeply loved and mourned by her family, her husband of 56 years Jesse Burton, her only daughter Teresa (Jeffrey), granddaughter, Channing Shackelford and great grandson Pierce Coats.  She leaves behind one sister Helen Wynn (Ronald) and one brother Robert Blanton.  Sister-in-laws Velma Blanton and Louise Hill.  Brother-in-laws Henry Burton, Leamon Caldwell, Jr, and Roy Ford.  She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends.
