Matti e Ballinger was born on March 20, 1943 to Dorsey Lemons and Emma Sash in Tyler, TX and went to be with the Lord on January 13, 2023. She graduated from Emmett J. Scott High School class of 1962. She retired from Trane Technologies after over 2 5 years.

She was prec e ded in death by her loving husband of 58 years Ray Ballinger and l oving parents, Dor s ey Lemons , Emma Sash Brown and Marshal Brown Sr.; brother s Charles Lemons, Wayne Lemons, and Marshall Brown Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memory, Children, Michell Lang ley (Danny), Renwick Ballinger (Kim) Grandchildren, Colby Ballinger, Destiny Heard, Renwick Ballinger and Johnythan Ballinger. Great Grandchildren, King and Kairo Ballinger. Sister, Pearlie Ingram and Brother, Rev. Will ie J Atkins Sr. and a host of relatives and friends.

Mattie was a caring mother, grandmother and sister. She was a devoted member of the Greater Hopewell Baptist church. She served as the president of the Sr. choir, Sunday school teacher and a deaconess. Mattie touched many lives with her sweet and caring spirit she will forever be missed.
