Mother Irene Mosley Brown was born was born April 21,1930 in Whitehouse, Texas to the late I. John and Elmeda Robinson Mosley. She was the fourth child of eleven children. She attended Antioch School and Stanton High School in the New Hope Community in Bullard, Texas.

Mother Brown was a homemaker and a self-taught pianist. She helped establish Macedonia Church of God in Christ along with her husband the Deacon J.C Brown and the late Deacon Robert & Sis. Eddie Lee Mass. She became the church musician and served as a faithful member under Superintendent Roosevelt Brown until health issues prevailed. Mother Brown was the last living founders of Macedonia Church of God in Christ.

She was married to J.C Brown and to this union, six children were born.

She departed this life on September 17,2022 at the age of 92 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was proceeded in death by her parents;husband of 69 years J.C Brown; son: Billy Ray Brown; three brothers Lorenzo Mosley, Brown Mosley and Lennel Mosley; five sisters: Artilee Mims, Lucille Green, E.V. Brown, Lucinda Mapps and Annabelle Perkins; granddaughter Quondetta Turner and son-in-law Lessie Turner.

Mother Brown leaves to cherish her memories: two daughters Ruby Brown Turner and Emma Brown Henson(Vernon) of Tyler; three sons, L.C Brown(Debra), James Brown(Carolyn) of Tyler and Lonnie Brown of Longview; One brother Claude Ray Mosley(Sandra) of Dallas and one sister Annie Lue Hill of San Diego,CA;19 grandchildren; and a host of nieces,nephews, other relatives and friends.
