Nathaniel "Peter" Bynum, Jr. was born November 14, 1955 to the parentage of Mary Helen and Nathaniel Bynum, Sr. He was the apple of their eye, and their joy. Peter grew up in the Water Bluff Community where he was active in Boy Scouts and 4-H Club. He joined Waters Bluff C.M.E. Church early in life, and he later became a member of the Starrville Church of the Living God where he was an active member until his death. Peter began his education at an early age at Gladewater Primary and graduated from Gladewater High School in 1974. He attended Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Ark on a Track Scholarship. He was a great Track Star!

He began his professional career in Law Enforcement as a Deputy for the Smith County Sheriff Department. He later changed professions and become a Service Technician for Center Point Energy, where he was employed for 41 years. He loved his job and developed lifelong friendships with the employees he loved working with

Leaving to cherish his memories are his daughter, Tywanna Bynum, granddaughters; Cailyn Smith and Khloe Davis; all of Grand Praire, Tx. Two sisters; Rachel Prince (Ross) Winona, Tx. and Lillian Lee, Tyler, Tx. 1 brother; Ennis Bynum (Carolyn), Tyler, Tx. Special niece; Khristie Prince, and  special nephews; Laymonde Lee, and Corey Lee.
