Funeral services for Odis Archie Raibon, of Whitehouse are scheduled May 22, 2019, 11:00 AM at The Woods Baptist Church with Dr. Charles Dodson eulogist. Interment will be held in Tyler Memorial Cemetery with Navy Honors under the direction of Brooks Sterling & Garrett Funeral Directors.
Odis Archie Raibon was born November 7, 1922 to Archie Raibon and Beatrice Brooks in Mt. Sylvan, Texas. He attended Emmett Scott High School. He was drafted into the US Navy in 1943. He was discharged in 1945. He attended Butler College for 2 years. While in college he married Etta Mae Clark. From this union three sons were born. In 1952 he relocated his family to California where he worked as a transportation specialist for the Civil Service. He retired after 32 years. After retirement he returned to Whitehouse serving the Lord at The Woods Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, and wife Etta of 61 years, 4 brothers and 3 sisters. He leaves at his passing 3 sons, Otis Jr. Raibon, Ira James Raibon and Cleothes Raibon; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A host of other relatives and friends.
