Paulette Finnie Wilkerson entered this world on April 20, 1946, to the parents of Ms. Pauline Finnie and Mr. Sammie Harris.
Paulette departed this life on Monday, April 8, 2024.
At a very early age, she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior and attended Galilee Baptist Church Como TX. She later joined Greater Hopewell Baptist Church Tyler TX where she served on the kitchen committee.
She received her education in the Como TX area and graduated from Douglas High School in Sulphur Springs TX. Later she moved to Tyler to attend Sweat Beauty School as a Cosmetologist. Later she entered the workforce at Mother Frances Hospital and East Texas Medical Center in the food service area and later moved to become a Sitter for Christus Trinity Mother Frances Hospital until she retired.
Paulette loved cooking, making her famous chocolate candy for the holidays, fishing, shopping, gardening with her plants, NBA Basketball Games, her children, grandchildren, great-granddaughter, siblings, and family gatherings.
Paulette passed at Hospice of East Tx on April 8, 2024, after a brief illness.
She met and married Dave Wilkerson III , they were married for 47 years. To their union, (4) children were born, Regina Wilkerson, Tammy Wilkerson, Gerald ( Nickey) Wilkerson all of Tyler Tx.) Proceeded in death, Anthony Todd Wilkerson.
Paulette was preceded in death by her husband Dave Wilkerson III, one son Anthony Wilkerson, her parents, Pauline Finnie and Sammie Harris one brother Willie Charles Finnie.
Paulette leaves to cherish her memory 2 daughters Regina Wilkerson, Tammy Wilkerson, one son Gerald ( Nickey) Wilkerson of Tyler Tx. 3 Grandson's Aaron, DJ and Deion (Kaylee) McGill, 1 Grandaughter KeNeshia Pringle, 1 Great Granddaugher, Annalise McGill, 1 Sister Peggy Dial and 1 half sister Merrill Wilkerson of Sulphur Springs Tx,, 1 Brother in Law L. C. Wilkerson, Tyler Tx, 3 Sister in Laws Marvelin (Frank) Pickens of Mesquite Tx, Lorane (James) Byrd of Dallas Tx, Kathy Nash of Lancaster Tx and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
