Pricilla Tennyson-Bowie was born December 5, 1957 to the late I.V. Tennyson and Hattie Mayfield- Tennyson. She grew up in the small town of Lindale, Texas and graduated in 1976 from John Tyler High School. She later married her handsome love by the name of Earnest "Candyman" Bowie. They were married for over 48 years. To this union three children were born, Tanisha, Torsha and Earnest Bowie, Jr.

Pricilla was employed for over 20 years and then retired from Carrier Air Conditioning. She also joined Mount Nevelton C.M.E. Church in Bullard, Texas and served on the Usher Board as a dedicated member. She loved to play Bingo with her sister Vicki Crawford, travel, cook and spend time with family.

Pricilla departs this life at the age of 68 on January 13, 2026 at Mother Frances Hopsital in Tyler, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband Earnest Bowie, parents I.V. Tennyson and Hattie Mayfield- Tennyson; brothers Walter Tennyson, Sr, Cecil Tennyson, and Ray Charles Tennyson; her sisters, Addie Bell Tennyson, Shirley Anderson, and Hattie Mae Brooks.

She leaves to cherish her memories her two daughters Tanisha Bowie and Torsha Bowie both of Tyler, Texas; one son Earnest J. Bowie of Tyler, Texas; three grandchildren Lashayebrianna Smith, Izayah Bush, and LaZarion Butler all of Tyler, Texas; six great-grandchildren; two brothers Willie Tennyson, Sr of Bullard, TX and Glen Paul Tennyson of Tyler, TX; one sister Vickie Crawford Tyler, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
