Renee LaShawn Johnson was born July 5. 1973 to Carolyn Williams. She attended Chandler Elementary, Brownsboro Junior High and was a graduate of Brownsboro High School Class of 92. After graduating from high school, she went on to further her education at Tyler Junior College where she received an Associates of Science Degree, continuing her education, she became a Licensed Vocational Nurse and later became a Registered Nurse, which was her lifelong dream. In early 2000, she worked at the Good Year Medical Clinic for 5 years. She was also worked for ETMC and Parkland Highland Nursing Center. She had a long and successful career at UT Health of Tyler (ETMC) as a registered nurse until her health failed. At age 7, Renee began attending church with her grandmother Mother Gladys Baines at Faith Tabernacle Church of Deliverance under the leadership of the late Apostle J.D."Poppa" Hamilton, Sr. She accepted Christ at an early age. Once she became a member, she served in many capacities such as the Sunshine Band, Purity Class and the Choir.
In 2006, she married the love of her life, George Johnson. To this union God blessed them with 4 God children. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Gladys Baines; grandfather, Clarence Baines, Sr.; and 2 uncles, Charles and Edward Baines;
She is survived by her husband of 15 years, George Johnson; mother, Carolyn Williams; 2 sisters, Tonika Brooks (Aljahara) and Angel Williams (Rodney); 1 God son, Hayden Smith, 3 God daughters, Avery Kindle, Ziyaunna Scott and Markala Scott; 5 uncles, Clarence Baines (Gloria), Alton Baines (Thelma), Michael Baines, Kelvin Baines (Donna) and Barry Baines (Marsella); 2 aunts, Joyce Foley (Melvin) and Debra Morris (Raymond Wayne): 4 nephews, Christopher Johnson, Alex Bradley, Reginald Johnson, Jr: and Jesse Johnson; 1 niece Jayla Johnson; 2 great nieces, Amariah Johnson and Aubree Blaylock; mother-in-law, Shirley Johnson; sisters-in- law; Rena Johnson (Tyrone) and Karen Johnson; brothers-in-law, Reginald Johnson, Sr., Kenneth Johnson and Jesse Johnson; and a host of other relative and friends.
