Robert Earl Massinburge was born January 31, 1957 to Lemmie Massinburge, Sr. and Mable Massinburge in Tyler, Texas. He attended Jackson Schools and Chapel Hill High School.  In high school, Robert was a National Honor Society member and participated in athletics including basketball and cheerleading.

Robert was a graduate of Tyler Junior College and later enlisted in the United States Navy. He served as an Avionics Technician on various battle cruises, touring the world during peace time.

He moved to Houston, Texas and worked as an electronics contract technician.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Cleo and Vester Lee; and his father Lemmie,Sr.

He is survived by his mother, Mable Massinburge, Tyler,Tx;siblings, Leo(Linda), Dallas,Tx., Melvin(Annie), Tyler, Tx.,Lemmie, Jr.(Elizabeth), Escondido,California, Birdie Brooks, Bullard, Tx. Marie Sanders, Lancaster,Tx., Elaine Massinburge, Tyler, Tx., and Rose Mary Ellis, Houston, Tx.

He leaves to mourn his passing his children: Robert Robinson, Houston, Tx., Gabrielle Robinson, Houston, Tx.;three grandchildren:Gavin, Giselle, and Micah, all of Houston,Tx.;two aunts: Mary Massinburge, Las Vegas, Nevada and Johnnie March Patton, Tyler,Tx.;several nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of relatives and friends.
