Rose Mary Gipson Buchanan was born in Tyler, Texas on October 6, 1943 to the late McKinley Gipson, Sr. and Rena Ervin Gipson. She united with North Star Missionary Baptist Church at a very young age and attended Tyler public schools.

Rose retired from Carrier Air Conditioning after 32 years of service.

She was preceded in death by both parents, two brothers and four children. She leaves to cherish her precious memories: grandson; Carlos Pollard, sister; Rutha Gipson, brothers: Therlee Gipson, Gene Gipson, Laysaul Gipson, and nieces, great-nieces, nephews, great-nephews along with a host of relatives and friends.
