February 10, 1944 – November 18, 2020
Rose Mary Caddell Johnson was born February 10, 1944 in Mt. Enterprise, Tx to Steve Vella & Cleopatra Caddell, Sr. She attended & graduated from Jackson High School in 1962. She received her Bachelor's Degree from Texas College in 1968. Rose joined Bethel Temple C.O.G.I.C. at an early age until she married Johnny Johnson in 1965. After their union, she became a member of East Chapel C.M.E. Church where she served in many capacities. She was East Chapel's musician for 50 years. She also played the piano for Johnson Chapel U.M.C. for over 20 years and other churches when needed. God blessed Rose with the gift of playing the piano by ear at the age of 5. She was also active in the Central Texas Conference. Rose was also the musician for the Charity Singers of Mineola whom she loved dearly for over 25 years. Rose was employed by Lindale ISD for 31 years. She loved playing the piano, sending out her monthly mailings, and lastly sending birthday cards to family and friends everywhere.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Charles & Carl Caddell.
Rose Mary Caddell Johnson will forever remain in the hearts & minds of her husband of 55 years, Johnny, her daughters; Monica & Camille, her grand-daughter; Ayanna, her grandsons; Ashton & Johnythan, her sisters; Dorothy Wynn & Martha Johnson, Fort Worth, Tx. Doris (Eddie) Campbell, and Peggy Elliot both of Tyler, Tx. and her brother; Steve Caddell, Jr. She will also be greatly missed by her sister in laws, brother in laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and her many dear friends. Rose has a whole other family not related by blood or other family members but by love that will also miss her.
A beautiful Rose has been removed from our earthly garden, but received in God's beautiful garden. She is playing the piano for the Heavenly Choir.
