Roxie Anna Davis Hampton was born on November 15, 1947 to Fred Muck Davis and Addie Bell Davis. As a native of Lindale, she graduatrd from Bragg Morris High School and Texas College. She went onto to work at Tyler Pipe for many years. Mrs. Hampton was a long time member of Duck Creek Baptist Church. She later went on to serve as a member of Holy Gospel Temple, Tyler, Texas under the leadership of Pastor Billy Tennyson.
Mrs. Hampton was a loving, wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She is proceeded in death by husband, James A. Hampton Sr of 17 years. Mother and Father, Ronald W. Davis (son), 7 brother and 1 (sister)
Mrs. Hampton depart this earth on September 20, 2023. She leaves to cherish two daughters Rena Davis- Crawford , Milette A. Davis- Parker and one son James A. Hampton Jr. As well as five grandchildren Deverre L. Brown (PC) Tyler, Tx, Stacy Crawford Jr. (Annise) Mesquite , Tx, Brandon Crawford, Irving, Tx, April N. Crawford (Lawrence) Fort Worth, Tx and Audrea Kalia Washington, Tyler, Tx Ten great-grandchildren and host of nieces and nephews.
