Mr. Sam Arthur Garrett, son of William and Carrie Garrett was born May 21, 1945 in Center, TX. The family moved to Jacksonville, Texas

Sam was schooled in Jacksonville, Texas, and played football at Fred Douglas High School.

Sam married Judie Allen 45 years ago, and they shared many wonderful memories together. Sam was the proud father of three sons; Dexter Garrett, Douglas Garrett and his youngest son Brian Garrett (Bubba), two daughters; Kista Jones, and Kendra Renfro.

His heart was helping others. Sam was a foster parent, he loved all 41 children that came into his home. He was always helping others.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Mr. and Mrs. William Garrett, sisters; Odessa Montgomery, and Eddie Ruth Hicks, brothers; A.J. Garrett, W.L. Garrett, Lonnie Gaston, and Prentice Gaston.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife, Judie Garrett,three sons; Dexter Garrett, Douglas Garrett,and Brian Garrett, two daughters; Kista Jones, and Kendra Renfro. Grandchildren; LaQuecia, Aaron, Jaeda, Chasity, Onderia, Keahnua, Keasha, and Jaylon. Great-grandchildren; Zion, London, Irelayn, Kennedy, and Ezra.Sister; Olivia (Martin)Cameron, Brother; Lee Garrett, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
