Anthony Charles Coleman, born January 22, 1969, in Fort Worth, Texas, to the late Alzora Coleman Faucette and Haywood Faucette, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2024. Anthony accepted Christ at an early age and became a dedicated member of the Rising Star Church of God in Christ, Fort Worth, Texas.

A proud graduate of Greene B. Trimble Technical High School, Class of 1987, Anthony's early years were marked by his role as manager of the basketball team and participation in ROTC. He went on to graduate from Jarvis Christian College, where he later served as a recruiter.

Anthony dedicated over a decade of his life to education, teaching all subjects at Premier High School, Tyler Independent School District and working as a private tutor specializing in mathematics and reading. He held four master's degrees, including education and ministry, and was just one semester away from earning his doctorate, a testament to his lifelong love for learning. Alongside his work in education, Anthony also worked as a tax professional with Jackson Hewitt for over 10 years.

His passion for ministry was evident in his 18 years as Pastor of First Bethel Temple Church of God in Christ, where he served with love and dedication. Since 2012, he also served as Superintendent for the Greater Tyler District, and he was actively involved in leadership roles as Jurisdictional Secretary and Youth President for the Texas East Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction, Church of God in Christ. Nationally, Anthony contributed to the Church of God in Christ as a member of the finance committee for the International Youth Department.

Anthony was a life member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., serving as an initiate of the Zeta Xi Chapter at Jarvis Christian College in 1989. He went on to advise several chapters and held roles such as Southwestern Province Chaplain, Province Administrative Assistant, and Tyler Alumni Chapter Polemarch. His dedication to service extended to the broader community, as he was a committed member of the Tyler Civitan Club and the Masonic Lodge.

Anthony Coleman's life was marked by unwavering faith, dedicated service, and an enduring love for his family and community. He touched countless lives through his work, ministry, and mentorship, and his legacy will continue to live on through all those he impacted.

He is survived by his loving wife, Andrea Coleman; his daughter, Shaneka Coleman; and his godson, Jeron Cole. He is also remembered by his brother, Darrell Faucette (Christi), and his special brother, LaKeith Garner (Anjanette). Anthony leaves behind his stepchildren, Jasmine Nelson (Alfred), Shaquira Traylor (Phillip), and Anthony Allen, along with seven grandchildren, his church family at First Bethel Temple, and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

He will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
