Virene Jones - Johnson Was born to the union of Major and Anna Bean- Jones on February 21, 1935 in Winona, Texas. Virene received her education at Winona Industrial School in Winona, Texas.

At an early age she united with New Zion Baptist Church in Winona.  Later she joined  Full Gospel Holy Temple Church in Tyler in August 1974.

Mrs. Virene Johnson is a born-again Christian and a great believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. She was a prayer warrior woman of God, and a great believer in the healing power of God.

She was proceeded in death by her mother and father Major and Anna Jones; one sister Doris Calip; her daughter Debra "Debbie" Jones; her grandson Rodrick Jones;  great grandson Joseph Cooks.

She leaves to mourn her passing and to cherish her memories;  Seven sons, Walter(DeDe) of Tyler, Tx,  Major Jones, Jr of Tyler, TX, Michael Jones, of Tyler, Tx, Fredrick Johnson, Longview, Tx, Carl  Jones (Bernieta) of Tyler, Tx, Brodrick Jones, of Tyler, Tx, Antonia Jones, Tyler, Tx, three daughters, Anna Williams (Finis) of Chander, Tx,  Dorothy Manzer (Don) of Arp, Tx and Felisa Johnson Of Chandler, Tx, Special Granddaughters Kethria Jones, Rashondra Carter, and Lisa Faye Cooks

43 Grandchildren and 42 Great Grand Children and 2 Great-Great-Grand Children and a host of nephews and nieces.
