Rev. Willie Clarence Green was born to Espanola Wheeler and Clarence Green on June 24, 1950. He departed this earthly life on June 13, 2020.
Willie was chairman of the Board of deacons and Associate Pastor of Duck Creek Baptist Church. He was the proud Pastor of Mt. Zion # 2 for a time.
In 1978, he enlisted into the US Army. He retired after a 30 year career. He received an Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Expert Badge Rifle, and National Defense Service Medal. Willie served in Southwest Asia and Kuwait.
Willie also worked at Kelly Springfield, Trane, Target Warehouse, Tender Loving Care Home Health Agency and Bill Day Tire Company.
He is preceded in death by his wife Margie Warren Green, Brothers; Freddie Green, and Willie Green, Sister; Ressie May Green, Mother; Espanola Wheeler Green and Father; Rev. C.J. Green, Grandmother/Mom; Vater McNeal (Lemmie) who raised him from 3 months old.
Willie leaves to cherish his memory, his loving daughter, Sonya Emprise Green-Ivery (Robert), 1 Granddaughter; Imari Washington, 1 Grandson; Warren Washington, 1 Great-Granddaughter; Ja'Laiah Emprise Washington Sister; Dorothy Johnson (Larry) Linnie Ray(William), and Dr. Lula M. Pope (Paul), and a host of other family and friends.
