IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Willola
Webb
July 3, 1936 – January 6, 2026
Willola Webb, born in Indianapolis, Indiana, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 6, 2026. One of four children, she was raised in a loving household grounded in faith and humility. Her quiet strength and gentle spirit were hallmarks of her character, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Willola was a dedicated professional, faithfully working as a secretary for GMC in Indiana, where her reliability and kindness made a significant impact. Beyond her administrative talents, she was an accomplished quilter, creating beautiful quilts with a steady hand that appeared to be sewn by machine.
During a vacation Bible school practice, Willola's hidden talent for singing was revealed. While practicing with her sister Jenette Butler, brother Dexter Micheaux, and Sister Brenda Shaw, joined in the singing with the children. Her beautiful voice captivated everyone, Sister Butler eagerly shared the news with Poppa. At the next service, Poppa Hamilton invited Sister Webb to finish singing "Pass Me Not, O Gentle Savior." Her performance left the entire church in awe, and the man of God invited her to join the mass choir.
Sister Webb was a classically trained vocalist whose remarkable talent took her to Carnegie Hall. Though reserved in everyday life, her powerful and expressive voice was filled with worship. She had a unique ability to connect with young people, offering warmth, patience, and a sense of belonging.
Since the 1970s, Sister Webb was a devoted member of Faith Tabernacle Church of Deliverance under the leadership of the late Apostle JD "Poppa" Hamilton. She sang with the Faith Tabernacle Mass Choir and was a faithful prayer warrior, consistently interceding for others with unwavering devotion until her health failed her.
Willola is lovingly survived by two brothers and one sister, who will forever cherish her gentle presence, steadfast faith, and quiet strength. Her legacy of prayer, kindness, and humility will echo in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
