Yulanda Rena Warren was born Tuesday July 8, 1975 to the late Robert N. Carter Jr. and Emma J. Jackson in Tyler, TX. Yulandawas affectionately known to most as "Yo-Yo." Yulanda attended the public school system of Tyler and grew up on the Nawf-side of Tyler, Texas running up and down 31 st street.
Yulanda prided herself on being loving and kind to everyone, which started at a young age by way of her nieces and nephews. She attended North Tennaha COGIC with her parents which provided guidance in her life. Yulanda was always the sunshine on a cloudy day. She was always happy and happy to help everyone. Yulanda was a family girl and always believed in her family, that went for blood and non-blood. Yulanda passed away Sunday afternoon surrounded by the love that she gave to others. If you listen closely you can still hear her defending her beloved Ezekiel Elliot and the Dallas Cowboys.
She was preceded in death by her father Robert N Carter Jr, paternal grandparents Robert N Carter Sr. and Ruby M Carter, her maternal grandparents R.T. Jackson and Agnus Jackson, and an uncle Herman Carter.
Yulanda is survived by her husband Jermaine Warren, three daughters Kierra Carter, Briana Warren, and Iy'Lexis Carrington all of Tyler. Her mother Emma Carter of Tyler, sister Connie Ray of Dallas and brother Darrell Ray Sr. (Yvonne) of Tyler. Her nieces Sha'Mecha Ray and Kali James both of Tyler, nephews Darrell Ray Jr. of Tyler and Rayshad Ray of Dallas. Her aunt Mary Hornsby (William) of Gilmer, uncle Ricky Carter (Joyce) of Minden, LA, Robert Charles Jackson of Dallas, and JamesJackson of California.
Yulanda was cherished by a host of other relatives, in-loves, godchildren, co-workers, church family and hundreds and hundreds of dedicated friends.
