Born June 5, 1952, in Bullard, Texas. Yvonne was the second oldest of 7 born to Andrew and Cora Faye Christopher.  Her father, Andrew Christopher preceded her in death.

Yvonne accepted Christ at an early age uniting with New Hope Baptist Church in Bullard, Texas.  In her adult years her membership remained with New Hope Baptist Church in Bullard, Texas.  Throughout her spiritual journey she was a Junior Mission member and held the role of trustee.

As a child, Yvonne attended Tyler Schools, graduating from White House High School in 1970.  She attended Tyler Junior College for 2 years.

Married since 1972, Yvonne and Gary Jackson were blessed with 2 daughters, 1 stepdaughter and 1 son, Jacqueline, Andrea, Keshea, and Garrick.

Before retiring in 2011, Yvonne worked for Southwestern Bell and Safeway, then completed her career after 20 years of service with the Smith County Veterans Service Office.

Yvonne dedicated her life to helping others.  In addition to volunteering in the community and with her church, she always had an open door to anyone in need.   When she knew a parent had struggles, she would often offer to help feed their children or let them come over to her house when they needed a temporary sitter.  Yvonne spent many hours in the kitchen baking cakes and delivering them to friends and family.  Her favorite request from family and friends was the delectable pound cake.  Her untiring love and care will be missed.

Yvonne quietly and peacefully transitioned from this life to Eternal Rest on July 5, 2021.
