Morine Massenburg was born in Winona,Texas to Cornelius and Colina Choice on August 7,1932. She went to high school at Winona HS. She worked as an essential employee in Tyler ISD as a custodian and food service manager for more than 30 years. She was an active member at Waters Bluff CME church where she was known for the best collard greens and dressing in East Texas. She enjoyed fishing, singing, dancing, and spending time with her grands and greats, who affectionately knew her as Momo.

Morine is preceded in death by her parents; Cornelius and Colina Choice, husband; Larloise Massenburg, daughter; Jessie Taylor, one grandson, sisters; Luzetta Tims, and Merlene Bell, and a brother; Rayfus Choice.

Morine Massenburg is survived by her three sons; Carlon Taylor (Annie), Eugene Harris, and Norris Massenburg (Belinda), two daughters; Katherine Johnson, and Kathlene Rhymes (Jimmie), 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, two brothers; H.L. Choice, and Arbie Dean Choice, and a host of other family and friends.
